The vibrant paintings feature subjects which has emotional connection to the artist, whether it is nature, landscape, cityscape, portraits or abstract.

Her work invested with strong expressive reaction to subject portrayed by the movement of colours and the use of simple lines, she insists on simplifying in forming the subject and manipulating the shapes and perspectives. She uses pure brilliant colours and unrestricted brush works applied aggressively to create a sense of an explosion on the canvas.

تعتمد الفنانة بدرية الشامسي في اعمالها الفنية على ابراز المفاهيم والتعبيرات الإنسانية المتغيرة بأنواعها مثل الفكر والثقافة والمشاعر وقد يخضع تمثيل الطبيعة ومحاكاتها للتعبير عن الانفعالات والاحاسيس الذاتية والحالات الذهنية التي تثيرها الأشياء والاحداث في نفس الفنانة.

تميل الفنانة الي اعتماد عنف التباين وانفجار الألوان واسبقية اللون على الموضوع كما وتعتمد التلقائية في الخطوط والبساطة في المنظور وتستخدم أسلوب التبسيط في التشكيل مع تحريف الاشكال بتغيير حجومها ونسبها والوانها التقليدية والتجريد في الموضوع واعتماد اللون النقي واعمال الفرشاة التلقائية غير المقيدة.
